Perennial gardens are one of the classics in German gardens! Countless types of perennials come back – once planted – every year. Skilfully laid out, there are always many attractive flower images in perennial gardens.
Strictly speaking, perennial gardens are not a correct garden style because the choice of plants depends on the local conditions, the location and personal taste. But it has the advantage that you can put it on in such a way that it looks attractive all year round.
This is where perennials come in that match the location and are then arranged according to size, color and flowering time. For example, you can create a discount that scores with poppies, delphiniums, roses and their companions in summer.
Asters, sunflowers and chrysanthemums grow on an autumn bed. In winter, for example, a bed with lots of grass still looks attractive.
Perennials regularly need nutrients because flowering takes a lot of strength. Work compost or slow release fertilizer into the soil around the plants in spring. If deficiency symptoms occur or the plant does not want to flower properly, you can help with fast-acting liquid fertilizers.
